Good episode, Chris! Now that Ted's dead, it's too bad the family can't come together and support each other. There's some quote I've heard that goes something like "Some old wounds never truly heal, and bleed again at the slightest word."

Wow, Mike, you encapsulated life in the Beck House! I've often found that when there is a super dominant patriarch of a family (e.g. Logan Roy of Succession) that the children become collateral damage for him to exercise his power and control. They are pawns to be used to further an agenda of his own, and the children's purpose become to serve the "king" obediently, regardless of the legality or morality of the ask. Then when the "king" dies, as they always do in literature/TV/Movies, there is a huge power vacuum and the children either come together or destroy each other trying to become the "new king." I think you will enjoy the Memorial Ceremony, which will be in Season 2, it will be a pivotal moment for the Beck family. Can Andrew give the speech the way Helena wrote it and not scream out what type of man Ted Beck really was? Can Brandon and Andrew patch up childhood wounds? How will Fergus use Ted's death as a way to bring Andrew's life crashing down on his head? More to come! Thanks for reading, Mike!
